Yes, today is the day all the Halo fanboys have been biting their nails about: Halo 3 hit the streets. Shortly thereafter Xbox Live came crashing to its knees! 
Yes, Halo 3 just broke Live! As Major Nelson announced, the Live team is quite aware of the problem and are busy working on it.
No, I didn’t rush out to get my copy of Halo 3. Yes, I pre-ordered the “I’m a Halo Nerd!” Legendary Edition with the helmet and the extra DVD’s but I think I’m going to eventually get the standard edition and put the rest of the money towards Mass Effect. The Halo games are ok, and I’m sure I’ll enjoy the campaign in Halo 3, but as far as the online goes, it’s YADMS (Yet Another Deathmatch Shooter) and quite frankly, I got that out of my system back in the days of Unreal Tournament and Quake 3, if not before that. Besides, let’s be honest, Halo brings out the worst behavior out of the kiddies (and adults) on a network already notorious for its “way worse than WoW” community. And I use the word “community” sparingly…
