Gamasutra has a new article quoting a letter from a HanbitSoft product manager for Hellgate: London that a new content update is in development for the game that will “surpass The Abyss Chronicles,” the last content update from Flagship earlier this year.
T3, who owns controlling stock in HanbitSoft, has formed a new studio in San Francisco comprised of former Flagship and Blizzard employees to take over with Flagship left off on both Hellgate: London and Mythos.
If HanbitSoft is putting a team to support the games, at some point they’ll need to take over the Hellgate servers from Namco-Bandai who recently stated the servers would be shut down on February 1, 2009.

NEVERMIND….
lol..
Seems the US and EU audience are still out of luck.
Huh? The article specifically states that while HanbitSoft previously only support the game in Korea, the new studio will be developing for all markets, including US and EU.
Not reopening…
Bugger and Bollocks…
That is so incredibly short-sighted and LAME!
Maybe Namco will just sell the rights back to keep the game going? They just sent an email advisory though, informing their customers of the planned server shutdown though…
