Pumping Irony

Massively tricked me! Usually when they put a Gallery link at the end of an article, there’s nothing else to the article but a screenshot gallery. It turns out they had a two-page preview and at the end featured a teaser trailer featuring gameplay footage!

While Darkfall currently has “everyone’s” eyebrows raised, with Mortal Online likely following, I’ve been keeping my sights squarely on Earthrise. Fantasy has been done to death. Earthrise has been described as “if EVE had a ground game, with some old-school SWG thrown in for flavor.” Considering SWG was my first MMO subscription, that sounds good to me. PvP-centric with full-looting (similar to Darkfall, etc. but handled differently), a complex and meaningful crafting system, skills-based advancement (and no auto-macroing at the air to skill up ala Darkfall), and more sandboxy features and that’s just the right buttons to push to pique my interest!
